If you’d prefer a more flexible approach, that’s no problem. You decide how to use your lesson hours, giving you the freedom to pace your course in a way that fits your lifestyle and learning style.

At Practical Pass, we provide three tailored driving courses designed to match your level of experience:

Novice Course – Ideal for complete beginners who are starting from scratch.

Midway Course – Perfect if you’ve had some lessons before and want to build on your existing skills.

Enhanced Course – Best suited for confident learners who just need a final boost before taking their test.

Each course comes with different hour options, so it’s important to choose the one that reflects your current ability. You can find full details of all three courses in the “Our Courses” section of our website.

You can add extra lessons to your course at a pro-rata rate if needed. We simply ask that you keep your practical test date realistic, giving yourself enough time to feel confident and fully prepared for your practical test.

Every course comes with the driving hours shown on your booking confirmation, so you’ll always know what to expect. You’ll learn with the same instructor from start to finish, and when it’s time for your test, you’ll take it in the same car you’ve been practicing in — helping you feel comfortable and confident on the day.

Your booking price also includes your practical test and, if needed, your theory test too.

With every driving course, 2 hours are set aside for your test day. So, if you book a 20-hour course, you’ll enjoy 18 hours of lessons with your instructor beforehand. Then on test day, you’ll have an hour to get familiar with the roads around the test centre, followed by your one-hour practical test.

Many learners find that intensive driving courses give them the best chance of passing. With a clear schedule and a test already in place, everything feels more structured and less overwhelming. Because the lessons are closer together, it’s easier to remember what you’ve learned and build your confidence step by step — no matter your starting level.

When you book one of our driving courses, we’ll provide you with your Learner Log. This sets out all the dates and times of your lessons, so you know exactly what to expect. You can schedule lessons yourself, or ask your allocated instructor for advice along the way.

All of your course hours will be completed before your practical test, keeping your learning structured and focused. With your Learner Log, you stay in control of your progress from start to finish.
